Where is the Paint Shack?

All around …. we are mobile… we have painted in Eau Claire, Tomah, Menomonie, Strum, Eleva, Hallie, Chippewa Falls, Colfax, Prairie Farm, New Auburn, Bloomer, Sparta, Warrens, Black River Falls, Cashton, Elmwood, Camp Douglas, Melrose…

We just opened a studio location in Eau Claire (2524 Golf Rd Suite 2 C). Our Studio or your Location… you choose! Our studio is above From the Vine/ Cherry Berry. We offer different things to paint on at our studio location only… boards, canvas bags, glass blocks and coming soon ceramic classes!

What should I expect at a Paint Shack event?

A fun, social, group setting, with a social artist to guide you step by step in replicating the featured painting. By the end of the evening you will create a fabulous piece of artwork! Feel free to switch up the colors on your masterpiece. The event times vary but we suggest arriving 15 minutes early to get the seat of your choice. Events are 2 -2 1/2 hours with frequent breaks.

What is the cost of a Paint Shack Event?

The price is usually $35 depending on the night and painting. Painting on other items may be a little more.  Fundraisers are usually a little more.  Kids (17 and under) can come and paint at an adult event they will be charged $25 and MUST be with a paying adult. We love and encourage kids to paint, however we caution you to bring your kids to an adult class, it is geared toward adults. Often times the parent can not focus on their own art. What is included in the price?

We provide the Social Artist, Canvas, Paint, Brushes, Easels, and Aprons. 

Refreshments and alcohol are not included – usually. Some locations run drink specials or have a fun menu to choose from.  We offer a variety of snacks for sale in our studio along with anything that falls under a beer license. ALL OUR ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE ONLY $3 FOR THE SUMMER OF 2016! No carry ins… Wisconsin Law says NO!

Should I sign up in advance and how do I sign up?

Please, pretty please, sign up so we have enough supplies on hand and can plan accordingly. There may also be limited seating. To sign up go to our event calendar  and find the date you wish to paint!  Book right from there!  You can text 715-379-7377, call, email thepaintshackec@gmail.com too!

What do I wear?

We provide aprons, but you may want to wear something you wouldn’t mind getting paint on– just in case!

What time do I need to arrive for an event?

We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early to get signed in and seated. We don’t reserve seats but you can if you arrive early.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Our Studio offers a wide selection of both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.  We have a beer license (Mikes Hard Lemonades, Smirnoff, Seagram’s, New Glarus, Leinies, Bud, Captain Jacks… and an assortment of beers.  We do not sell wine. We are however above a Wine Bar! Plan a start down there at FROM THE VINE WINE ROOM, then come up stairs to paint. You may not bring any alcoholic  drinks into THE PAINT SHACK STUDIO. Call if you have specific questions.

What is your cancellation policy?

The Paint Shack is an entertainment event much like a concert, dinner theater or movie theater. We are happy to work with you to reschedule your class but we require a 24 hour notice. Cancellations should be made via email or by phone or text 715-379-7377. This provides us the opportunity to fill the space.

A refund can be provided if there is at least 24 hours notice. There is a $5 charge for a refund. We will happily reschedule your individual class at no charge.

Do I need to have a PayPal account to pay for my gift certificates?

No, once you have clicked the Buy Now button on the Sign Up page, please look on the PayPal page and enter in your payment information instead of logging in.

How many people do I need for a Private Event?

We require a 10 person minimum charge for a private event. This does not mean you must have at least 10 people attend! You will be charged for a min of 10 people even if you only have 6 people in your party. $35

ADULT PARTIES  $35 pp to paint on a 16x 20 canvas. You need at least 10 painters if you hold it in our studio or are within 30 miles from the Studio address or Tomah. You need at least 12 painters if you are 30-40 miles from the Studio (2524 Golf Rd EC) or from the center of Tomah.

KID PARTIES $15 pp to paint on a 11×14 or 12×12 canvas. You need at least 10 painters if you hold it in our studio or are 30 miles from the Studio address (2524 Golf Rd EC) or the center of Tomah. You need at least 15 painters if we come to you  30-40 miles from the Studio address or from the center of Tomah.

**For all parties we bring: easels, table plastic, water cups, paint, palettes, brushes, aprons, canvases or whatever we are painting on, rags, a Fun Social Artist, the inspiration piece of art.

**You supply: access to water, tables and chairs, any floor covering if you wish – keeping in mind this is sometimes a trip hazard, any rental fee for the facility is your responsibility. FYI there is NO fee for the rental of our Studio (2524 Golf Rd EC).

Private parties held at our studio may bring in any food or NON-Alcoholic beverages. Alcoholic beverages are for sale at the studio!  All alcoholic beverages are only $3 for the summer!

Payment for a private event is due one week prior. Checks can be made out to THE PAINT SHACK LLC and mailed or dropped off at The Paint Shack, 2524 Golf Rd Suite 2C, Eau Claire Wi 54701.

How far will you travel for a Private Event?

It depends, call us for distance and pricing. We have artists in Eau Claire and Tomah.

What is the Kids Shack and is it right for my child?

KID SHACK – Prices vary depending on event. Once a child has reached school age, we find that they can independently follow along however this is always up to the parents discretion.  Adults may not paint at the kids price.

Can I leave my child at a Kids Shack event?

Yes and no. It depends on the maturity level of your child and must be over 8 years old. Parents are not required to paint and can enjoy watching their child participate.  Adults may not paint at the kids price.

How much for a Kid Shack birthday party or special event?

Adults may not paint at the kids price.  We also can bring a “sticker canvas”. This is a canvas that the child (usually 5 and under) can peal the stickers and place them onto the canvas. Then the child paints any color they wish. We let this dry then peal off the stickers. Everyone is happy! We need to know this ahead of time so we can bring the appropriate stickers. We can customize this too!

Is there an age limit for the Paint Shack Events?

Yes. If the location is a bar, we do not allow anyone under the age of 21. Please note the location of the event you are registering for. If there is any questions regarding this, contact us for more information.
